PHOTOS: Maj. Gen. Armagno visits Republic of Korea

SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA -- U.S. Air Force Maj. Gen. Nina Armagno, director of plans and policy (J5) for U.S. Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM), met with Republic of Korea (ROK) Army Brig. Gen. Lee Jung-woong, acting J5 for the ROK Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS), during her visit to the ROK JCS headquarters in Seoul, Oct. 17, 2017. Armagno and members of her staff visited Seoul for senior leader discussions on USSTRATCOM’s continuing partnership with the Republic of Korea. One of nine Department of Defense unified combatant commands, USSTRATCOM has global responsibilities assigned through the Unified Command Plan that include strategic deterrence, space operations, cyberspace operations, joint electronic warfare, global strike, missile defense and intelligence.
