OFFUTT AIR FORCE BASE, Neb. - U.S. Navy Adm. Cecil D. Haney, U.S. Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM) commander, and U.S. Army Command Sgt. Maj. Patrick Z. Alston, senior enlisted leader, released a holiday video message expressing their appreciation to the men and women and family members of USSTRATCOM.

In the message, Haney and Alston thanked USSTRATCOM soldiers, sailors, airmen, Marines and civilians serving locally and abroad, and also recognized the service and sacrifices of their families.

"Please extend our sincere appreciation to your loved ones," said Alston. "We know your families serve also, and we can't thank them enough."

Sgt. Maj. Alston reiterated the importance USSTRATCOM leadership places on everyone in the command returning to duty safely, citing the importance of proper planning, making responsible decisions and taking care of battle buddies, shipmates and wingmen.

"Here at USSTRATCOM, we are a family," said Haney. "It's important that each and every member of our family returns recharged and ready. I am counting on you."
