I am an American Airman, I am a warrior who has answered my nation's call ... my mission is to fly, fight, and win!

These familiar words describe the essence of the United States Air Force for the last 65 years. They also describe our proud heritage, tradition of honor, and legacy of valor that goes all the way back to the Wright brothers.

On our birthday, it is important we remember and honor those who have gone before us to forge the world's best, most respected, and most feared air, space, and cyber team. We especially remember those who have given their lives in defense of our nation and its ideals. We also remember those who are standing watch and deployed in harm's way today guarding freedom and justice and ready to wield freedom's sword and shield.


It is my privilege to serve with such an outstanding group of wingmen, leaders, and warriors. I am proud to stand with you in these difficult times as we exemplify our core values and move forward without faltering or failing.
