U.S. Strategic Command welcomes Hyten as new commander

Exercise Global Thunder 17 Concludes

OFFUTT AIR FORCE BASE, Neb. – Exercise Global Thunder 17, an annual command post and field training exercise, concluded Oct. 31.

Houston Navy Week Kicks Off In the Lone Star State

10/20/2016 — HOUSTON, Texas - HOUSTON (NNS) -- Navy Week kicked off in the most populous city of the Lone Star State as citizens and community leaders welcomed the weeklong series of outreach engagements in Houston, Oct. 17.

Senior leaders from six of the nation's 10 Federally Funded Research and Development Centers (FFRDC) and three of the 14 University Affiliated Research Centers (UARC) meet with Adm. Cecil D. Haney (center), U.S. Strategic Command commander, during their visit to USSTRATCOM headquarters at Offutt Air Force Base, Neb., Sept. 29, 2016. While here, leaders participated in roundtable discussions on projects and capabilities of their respective organizations. USSTRATCOM hosts first roundtable discussion with FFRDCs and UARCs

10/6/2016 — OFFUTT AIR FORCE BASE, Neb. – Adm. Cecil D. Haney, U.S. Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM) commander, and representatives from the command hosted senior leaders from Federally Funded Research and Development Centers (FFRDC) and University Affiliated Research Centers (UARC) for roundtable discussions at the command’s headquarters, Sept. 29.

USSTRATCOM hosts space exercise with international partners

OFFUTT AIR FORCE BASE, Neb. - U.S. Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM) led the third Space Situational Awareness (SSA) Tabletop Exercise (TTX) / GLOBAL SENTINEL 16 (GS-16), Sept. 21-30, at the Lockheed Martin Center for Innovation in Suffolk, Virginia. The event provided an opportunity to develop and implement processes for partners from Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Japan, the United Kingdom, and commercial entities to collaborate on combined SSA operations.

USSTRATCOM Commander Announces 2015 Omaha Trophy Winners

OFFUTT AIR FORCE BASE, Neb. - In recognition of outstanding support to U.S. Strategic Command’s (USSTRATCOM) strategic deterrence, space and cyberspace missions, U.S. Navy Adm. Cecil D. Haney, USSTRATCOM commander, announced the winners of the 2015 Omaha Trophies at USSTRATCOM Headquarters on Feb. 3, 2016.
