Strong Missile Shield Protects U.S., Allies

WASHINGTON — President Donald J. Trump, Vice President Michael R. Pence and Acting Defense Secretary Patrick M. Shanahan announced the release of the 2019 Missile Defense Review today at the Pentagon.

Kenneth Henson during a tour of the DPAA facility at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii, Nov. 9, 2018. Henson visited the DPAA Laboratory to collect the remains of his grand uncle-in-law, U.S. Army Cpl. Albert Mills, who was a member of Company F, 2nd Battalion 5th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division during the Korean War. Henson served as the special escort for Mills’ remains during transport to final resting place in Dallas. AFSPC assumes COMSATCOM procurement responsibility for DoD

PETERSON AFB, Colo. (AFNS) — The Air Force Space Command commander assumed responsibility for procurement of commercial satellite communications services for the Department of Defense from the Director of the Defense Information Systems Agency December 12. The move is in accordance with Section 1601(a) of the Fiscal Year 2018 National Defense Authorization Act.
