USSTRATCOM, Canada's Upper Midwest Consul General Discuss Partnership

OFFUTT AIR FORCE BASE, Neb. - U.S. Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM) senior leaders hosted Mr. Jamshed Merchant, Consul General for Canada in the upper Midwest, at USSTRATCOM Headquarters, March 16, as part the command’s ongoing effort to build, sustain and support partnerships with ally nations.

A trident II D-5 ballistic missile is launched from the Ohio-class ballistic missile submarine USS Kentucky (SSBN 737) during a missile test at the Pacific Test Range, Nov. 7, 2015. The launch, the 156th successful test flight of an unarmed Trident II D5 missile, was part of a Demonstration and Shakedown Operation (DASO) in the Pacific Test Range to validate the readiness and effectiveness of an SSBN's crew and weapon system. Strategic weapons tests, along with exercises and operations, demonstrate the readiness of the nation's nuclear triad, assuring America's allies and deterring potential adversaries. Successful Trident II D5 Missile Test Another Demonstration of Triad Readiness

OFFUTT AIR FORCE BASE, Neb. - The successful launches of three Trident II (D5) missiles last week as part of a Follow-on Commander's Evaluation Test (FCET) continue to validate the credibility of the nuclear enterprise. FCET-52, the 160th successful launch since 1989, follows two Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) "Glory Trip" launches in February, and one Air Launched Cruise Missile (ALCM) nuclear Weapon System Evaluation Program (NucWSEP) test.

B-2s conduct deployment to Indo-Asia-Pacific

U.S. Strategic Command, Other Experts Discuss Deterrence at UNO

U.S. Navy Adm. Cecil D. Haney, U.S. Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM) commander, former Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel, and other defense and academic experts promoted cooperation, collaboration and innovation, March 3, during the two-day 2016 Deterrence and Assurance Workshop and Conference at the University of Nebraska at Omaha’s (UNO) College of Public Affairs and Community Service.

During the short-term deployment, three of the multi-role heavy bombers and more than 200 Airmen assigned to the 2nd Bomb Wing will integrate and train with U.S. European Command components and regional allies and partners by participating in the Norwegian exercise Cold Response. U.S. Strategic Command Hosts Electromagnetic Battle Management Exercise

OFFUTT AIR FORCE BASE, Neb. - More than seventy select combatant command, Service, Department of Defense Chief Information Office, combat support agency and international partner Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (EMSO) experts gathered here Jan. 12-14, 2016, to inform the development of a future Electromagnetic Battle Management (EMBM) system.
