Barksdale B-52s partner with Jordanian Forces in Exercise Eager Lion

OFFUTT AIR FORCE BASE, Neb. - Two B-52 Stratofortress bombers assigned to the 2nd Bomb Wing, Barksdale Air Force Base, Louisiana, returned today from a 35-hour, 14,000-mile nonstop mission to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to participate alongside partner Jordanian Armed Forces (JAF) in Exercise Eager Lion 2016.

U.S. Strategic Command to Conduct Exercise Global Lightning

OFFUTT AIR FORCE BASE, Neb. - U.S. Strategic Command will conduct GLOBAL LIGHTNING 2016, a command and control exercise, with components and tasks forces beginning April 23.

B-52 integrates, trains with French allies

OFFUTT AIR FORCE BASE, Neb. - A B-52 Stratofortress from Minot Air Force Base, North Dakota, conducted a long-range training sortie to train and integrate with the French Air Force.

Crosier, U.S. Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM) director of plans and policy (left), and His Excellency, Dr. Khalifa Al Romaithi, United Arab Emirates Space Agency (UAESA) chairman, sign a memorandum of understanding (MOU) at the Broadmoor Hotel in Colorado Springs, Colo., April 11, 2016. The MOU to share space situational awareness (SSA) services and information, signed during the 32nd Space Symposium, will enhance awareness within the space domain and increase the safety of spaceflight operations for the U.S. and UAE. The UAE joins 10 nations, two intergovernmental organizations, the European Space Agency and the European Organization for the Exploitation of Meteorological Satellites, and more than 50 commercial satellite owner/operator/launchers already participating in SSA data-sharing agreements with USSTRATCOM. SSA data-sharing agreements enhance multinational space cooperation and streamline the process for USSTRATCOM partners to request specific information gathered by USSTRATCOM’s Joint Space Operations Center at Vandenberg Air Force Base, Calif. Colorado Springs, Colo. - U.S. Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM) entered into an agreement with the United Arab Emirates Space Agency (UAESA) to share space situational awareness (SSA) services and information today at the 32nd Space Symposium.
