5th Bomb Wing to Receive 2014 Omaha Trophy

Navy SSP conducts two successful Trident II launches

OFFUTT AIR FORCE BASE, Neb. - The U.S. Navy's Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) conducted two successful test flights of a Trident II D5 Missile, Feb. 22, 2015, under operationally representative conditions to obtain valid reliability, accuracy and performance factors for use by the Commander, U.S. Strategic Command and the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

2014 Omaha Trophy Winners Announced

OFFUTT AIR FORCE BASE, Neb. - In recognition of outstanding support to U.S. Strategic Command’s global strategic deterrence, space and cyberspace missions, U.S. Navy Adm. Cecil D. Haney, USSTRATCOM commander, announced the winners of the 2014 Omaha Trophy in the Intercontinental Ballistic Missile, Submarine Ballistic Missile, and Global Operations categories. Haney made the announcement during the Nuclear Task Force Commander’s Conference at USSTRATCOM headquarters, Feb. 5, 2015.

Omaha, Neb. - As part of a University of Nebraska program to enhance the management skills and technical expertise of civilians as they progress to strategic supervisory roles, 10 U.S. Strategic Command civilian employees were selected to participate in the 2015 USSTRATCOM Strategic Leadership Fellows Program. USSTRATCOM senior officials, civilian personnel, and academic professionals recognized the Fellows during a kick-off event at the University of Nebraska at Omaha’s Mammel Hall, Jan. 31.
