My job supports USSTRATCOM and its missions by providing active duty military, DoD contractors, and DoD civilians with new Common Access Cards.  Also I ensure that all active duty service members are properly administratively gained to USSTRATCOM with ease. Lastly, PO1 Washington and I take care of the Navy with administrative concerns.

Helping people is most rewarding because it gives personnel confidence and ease any concerns they may have.

Q: What has been a challenge for you regarding your work at USSTRATCOM and how have you overcome that challenge?

My challenge was learning a new field in my specific rate that I have never done before.  I overcame that challenge by asking questions and being eager to learn new tasks and responsibilities.

Q: What has been your most memorable experience in the military?

My most memorable experience in the military was going on a nine-month deployment and visiting other countries that I have always dreamed about going to.

Q: What is the one piece of information or advice about working at USSTRATCOM that you'd pass on to new members of the USSTRATCOM team?

My advice about working at USSTRATCOM is to always ask questions, even if you think you already know the answer.  The worst thing you can do is assume. If you do not know something, just ask; it makes the workload easier for yourself and the team you are working with.
