Keystone 18-2
U.S. Air Force Chief Master Sgt. Patrick McMahon, senior enlisted leader of U.S. Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM), briefs Keystone 18-2 participants in the Dougherty Conference Center at Offutt Air Force Base, Neb., June 12, 2018. McMahon discussed USSTRATCOM’s missions and capabilities and the importance of mentoring the next generation of command senior enlisted leaders (CSELs). The Keystone course educates CSELs who currently, or will, serve in a general or flag officer-level headquarters. CSELs in the Keystone course visit combatant commands and receive briefings to understand their missions, roles, responsibilities and organizational structures. U.S. Strategic Command has global responsibilities assigned through the Unified Command Plan that include strategic deterrence, nuclear operations, space operations, joint electromagnetic spectrum operations, global strike, missile defense, and analysis and targeting.
