OFFUTT AIR FORCE BASE, Neb. - Maj. Gen. William Grimsley, chief of staff, U.S. Strategic Command, takes a group photo with members of APEX 33, a Department of Defense Senior Executive Service orientation during their visit to USSTRATCOM Sept. 21. The Apex orientation program provides newly appointed SES' an overview for understanding the structure and processes of various DOD components including combatant commands. USSTRATCOM was one stop for APEX 33 who's itinerary also included visits to the Pentagon in Washington, D.C.; Camp Pendleton, Calif.; Nellis AFB, Nev.; and U.S. Northern Command at Peterson AFB, Colo. among others.
