OFFUTT AIR FORCE BASE, Neb. - Retired Navy Cmdr. Kirk Lippold talks to members of U.S. Strategic Command in the STRATCOM theater June 29, 2012, to discuss his experience of being the commanding officer of the USS Cole when it was struck by suicide bombers off the Yemeni port of Aden on Oct. 12, 2000.  Lippold was at Offutt AFB to meet with base personnel to discuss the tragic event which left 17 Sailors dead and 39 others wounded.
