OMAHA, Neb. - Army Staff Sergeants' Esperanza Hermosillo, Greggory Bolin, and Deberah Lawson, all assigned to U.S. Strategic Command, celebrate the U.S. Army's 237th Birthday by packing food items for school age children in need as part of the Food Bank for the Heartland's Backpack program June 14, 2012.  Volunteer Soldiers, including new Army recruits, completed 1,504 backpacks ready for distribution in approximately two hours.  In addition to volunteering, Soldiers throughout Offutt Air Force Base marked the event by participating in a fun run, cake cutting ceremony in the lobby of USSTRATCOM, and having a barbeque at the Base Lake.  There are 350 U.S. Army Soldiers assigned to USSTRATCOM, with 115 stationed at the Headquarters at Offutt AFB.
