KINGS BAY, Ga, (November 8, 2013) - General C. Robert Kehler, Commander, U.S. Strategic Command shares his view on sustaining the nuclear triad, which includes the Minuteman III missile, Ohio Class Submarine, and the Long Range Bomber, with audience members at last week's Sustaining the Triad: The Enduring Requirements of Deterrence conference. The conference provided an unclassified forum for policy makers and experts to discuss issues about the current and future size and posture of the U.S. strategic force. The triad is a key component of the nation's defense and, as the combatant commander responsible for all three legs of the nuclear triad, Kehler brought a strategic perspective and unparalleled experience to the conference.\r\n (U.S. Navy photo Mass Communication Specialist 2nd Class Cory Rose/Released)
