SCOTT AIR FORCE BASE, Ill. (March 11, 2014) - Adm. Cecil D. Haney, Commander, United States Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM), is greeted by Lt. Gen. Bash, Air Mobility Command vice commander, upon Haney's arrival to Scott Air Force Base. The visit allowed Air Mobility Command and 18th Air Force leaders to discuss more effective ways to carry out the commands' global missions. USSTRATCOM relies on various components for the execution of its global missions, including space operations, information operations, missile defense, global command and control; intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR); global strike and strategic deterrence, and combating weapons of mass destruction. The 18th Air Force supports USSTRATCOM's mission by providing aerial refueling capabilities through Task Force 294. (U.S. Air Force photo/Released)
