JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-LACKLAND, Texas. (May 5, 2014) Commander, U.S. Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM) Adm. Cecil D. Haney looks on as Col. William Poirier, 67th Cyberspace Wing Commander, hoists the 2013 Global Operations Omaha Trophy to the cheers of his unit. The Wing provides network warfare capabilities to Air Force, Joint Task Force and combatant commanders to operate, manage, and defend global Air Force networks. The Cyberwarriors of the 67th CW were selected based on formal evaluations, meritorious achievement, safety and other factors including community involvement and humanitarian actions. The Omaha Trophy, sponsored by Omaha's Strategic Command Consultation Committee, is awarded annually to four outstanding units that represent USSTRATCOM's mission areas, their role in global operations and USSTRATCOM's continued emphasis on strategic deterrence.
