BELLEVUE, Neb. (Sept. 4, 2014) Personnel assigned to U.S. Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM) participate in a retreat ceremony at Offutt Air Force Base. "This is our opportunity to pay respect to the colors as well as honor those who serve, our Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marine Corps, Guard, Reserve and civilian teammates.  As a cohesive unit, there is no better way to build camaraderie and fellowship than to come together during key ceremonies such as our USSTRATCOM retreat," said USSTRATCOM Command Senior Enlisted Leader Command Sgt. Maj. Patrick Z. Alston prior to the ceremony. USSTRATCOM is one of nine DoD unified combatant commands and is charged with strategic deterrence, space operations, cyberspace operations, joint electronic warfare, global strike, missile defense, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance, combating weapons of mass destruction, and analysis and targeting.
