The USS Louisiana is the 18th and last ship of the United States Navy's Ohio class of nuclear-powered fleet ballistic missile submarines.  Kowalski's visit allowed him to meet and thank the Sailors there for the work they do 365 days a year, 24 hours a day, in support of U.S. Strategic Command's top priorities to deter strategic attack and provide the nation with a safe, secure and effective nuclear deterrent force.
