Members of the Field Deployable Hydrolysis System team for the MV Cape Ray attend a Homecoming Celebration and Awards Ceremony October 8th, 2014, to culminate the successful destruction of the Syrian chemical weapons stockpile. The successful neutralization of 600 metric tons of Syrian chemical material aboard the MV Cape Ray was made possible through coordination and partnership across the Federal government. "It was a full team effort here at Fort Belvoir," between the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA), U.S. Strategic Command Center for Combating Weapons of Mass Destruction (SCC-WMD) and the Standing Joint Force Headquarters for Elimination (SJFHQ-E), according to Ken Myers, Director of DTRA and SCC-WMD.
