In addition to the mentoring session, Haney attended the BEYA STEM conference, which featured the Veterans Transition Initiative, a CEO Roundtable, professional seminars and a STEM career fair. Thousands of high school and college STEM students, interns, professionals, and executives attended events during the multi-day conference. One of nine DoD unified combatant commands, USSTRATCOM has global strategic missions, assigned through the Unified Command Plan, which include strategic deterrence; space operations; cyberspace operations; joint electronic warfare; global strike; missile defense; intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance; combating weapons of mass destruction; and analysis and targeting.
