Richardson, Air Force program executive officer for tankers, participate in a panel discussion during the Aerial Refueling Systems Advisory Group’s (ARSAG) annual meeting in Jacksonville, Fla., April 19, 2016. During the event, Wilson provided a keynote speech where he relayed the importance of tankers to military aviation and their role in the supporting the nuclear enterprise. Additionally, he shared his experience presenting the 2015 Omaha Trophy, strategic aircraft category, to the 92nd Air Refueling Wing, Fairchild Air Force Base, Wash., and highlighted the achievements of the unit. The ARSAG meeting brought together representatives from over 20 nations for a series of military status reports, seminars and military and industry briefings to discuss aerial refueling innovations, developments and interoperability challenges. One of nine DoD unified combatant commands, USSTRATCOM has global strategic missions, assigned through the Unified Command Plan, which include strategic deterrence; space operations; cyberspace operations; joint electronic warfare; global strike; missile defense; intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance; combating weapons of mass destruction; and analysis and targeting.
