Shaheen and other members of Congress for discussions, and to testify before the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Energy and Water Development, July 13, and the House Armed Services Subcommittee on Strategic Forces, July 14. In his submitted testimony to the Senate subcommittee, Haney expressed his thanks for the opportunity to discuss the critical need to modernize America’s nuclear deterrent capabilities, especially the air-delivered nuclear deterrent forces. Carter was on Capitol Hill to promote diabetes awareness and meet with the New Hampshire senator. Carter was crowned Miss New Hampshire in April and will compete in the Miss America competition in Sept. diabetes awareness One of nine DoD unified combatant commands, USSTRATCOM has global strategic missions, assigned through the Unified Command Plan, which include strategic deterrence; space operations; cyberspace operations; joint electronic warfare; global strike; missile defense; intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance; combating weapons of mass destruction; and analysis and targeting.
