OFFUTT AIR FORCE BASE, Neb. - OFFUTT AIR FORCE BASE, Neb. - Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, U.S. Marine Corps Gen. Joseph F. Dunford, Jr. (left), is greeted by the Commander of U.S. Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM), U.S. Air Force Gen. John E. Hyten, upon arriving at Offutt Air Force Base, Neb., March 1, 2017. During his visit, Dunford met with Hyten and other USSTRATCOM senior leaders for command updates and discussions on command structure; nuclear command, control and communication; command exercises; combatant command integration and other topics of interest. Dunford is the 19th Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the nation’s highest-ranking military officer and the principal military advisor to the President of the United States, Secretary of Defense and National Security Council.
