OFFUTT AIR FORCE BASE, Neb. - Members of U.S. Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM) participate in a game of tug-of-war during the inaugural USSTRATCOM Olympics at Offutt Air Force Base, Neb., June 29, 2018. Military members and civilians teamed up by directorate and competed in team and individual events – including soccer, tennis, volleyball and calisthenics – to accumulate points and determine a winning team. The friendly competition supports USSTRATCOM’s “Get Out of Your Cube” initiative and promotes camaraderie, teamwork and physical fitness. U.S. Strategic Command has global responsibilities assigned through the Unified Command Plan that include strategic deterrence, nuclear operations, space operations, joint electromagnetic spectrum operations, global strike, missile defense, and analysis and targeting.
