100th space sharing agreement signed, Romania Space Agency joins
ROSA HQ, Romania - Dr. Phys. Marius-Ion Piso (center), President of Romanian Space Agency (ROSA), signs the United States-Romania Space Situational Awareness (SSA) agreement alongside Lt. Col. Matthew Kimsal (left), representative of the U.S. Embassy in Romania, and Mircea Cernat, Senior Engineer of ROSA, at ROSA headquarter in Bucharest, Romania, on April 25, 2019. The U.S. government partners with space-faring entities to promote the responsible, peaceful and safe use of space. SSA sharing agreements lay the foundation that allows USSTRATCOM to share information with allies and partners in support of launches, on-orbit maneuvers, anomaly resolution, de-commissioning activities and on-orbit conjunction assessments. SSA sharing is a foundational capability that affects all future space operations and projects.
