OUTSIDE KIMBALL, Neb. - Personnel and leadership with Air Force Global Strike Command’s Sentinel Task Force Detachment 10 and the Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center prepare to launch the first pieces of earth into the air during a “golden shovel” groundbreaking ceremony near Kimball, Neb., June 24, 2026. The ceremony celebrated the first ground broken as part of the LGM-35A Sentinel intercontinental ballistic missile weapon system’s utility corridor pilot program.
