U.S Air Force B-52s Arrive in Europe Strengthening Links with NATO Allies and Partners

RAMSTEIN AIR FORCE BASE, Germany — U.S. Air Force B-52H Stratofortress aircraft, Airmen and support equipment from the 5th Bomb Wing, Minot Air Force Base, North Dakota, arrived in the U.S. European Command area of responsibility to train with U.S. Allies and partners on August 18, 2022.

Unarmed Minuteman III test launch to showcase readiness of U.S. nuclear force's safe, effective deterrent

VANDENBERG SPACE FORCE BASE, Calif. — A scheduled, operational test launch of an Air Force Global Strike Command unarmed Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missile is planned for Tuesday, Aug. 16 from 12:01 a.m. to 6:01 a.m. Pacific Time from north Vandenberg. This test is routine and was scheduled years in advance. Consistent with previous test launches, this ICBM test launch will validate and verify the effectiveness, readiness and accuracy of the weapon system.

PHILIPPINE SEA (Aug. 2, 2022) An F/A-18E Super Hornet attached to the Eagles of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 115 launches from the flight deck of the U.S. Navy’s only forward-deployed aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76) in the Philippine Sea, Aug. 2. The Eagles conduct carrier-based air strike and strike force escort missions, as well as ship, battle group, and intelligence collection operations. Ronald Reagan, the flagship of Carrier Strike Group 5, provides a combat-ready force that protects and defends the United States, and supports alliances, partnerships and collective maritime interests in the Indo-Pacific region. Two 7th BW B-1s integrate with African partners; showcase support during Exercise African Lion

DYESS AIR FORCE BASE, Texas — Two B-1B Lancers launched from Dyess Air Force Base, Texas, June 29, 2022, in support of a Bomber Task Force Continental United States (CONUS)-to-CONUS tasking. A BTF CONUS-to-CONUS mission is a tasking from geographic combatant commanders requesting bomber aircraft to launch from their home unit to conduct an operation in another theater before returning home.
