Whiteman-based National Guard unit gets new commander for Guard’s only B-2 wing

WHITEMAN AIR FORCE BASE, Mo. — The National Guard’s only nuclear flying wing welcomed its new commander during a ceremony at Whiteman Air Force Base, Feb. 3, 2023.

Ticonderoga-class guided-missile cruiser USS Shiloh (CG 67) fires a standard missile during a live-fire exercise in the Philippine Sea, Jan. 23. Shiloh is forward-deployed to the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations in support of security and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.

Exercise Obangame Express 2023 kicks off in Lagos, Nigeria

LAGOS, Nigeria — Obangame Express (OE23), the largest multinational maritime exercise in Western and Central Africa, kicked off its 12th year with 33 participating nations, Jan. 23, 2023.

(June 6, 2022) Ships from Denmark, Finland, Germany, Lithuania, Poland, Sweden, the United Kingdom, and the United States sail in formation in the Baltic Sea, June 6, 2022 during exercise BALTOPS22. BALTOPS 22 is the premier maritime-focused exercise in the Baltic Region. The exercise, led by U.S. Naval Forces Europe-Africa, and executed by Naval Striking and Support Forces NATO, provides a unique training opportunity to strengthen combined response capabilities critical to preserving freedom of navigation and security in the Baltic Sea.
