Ishee assumes command of U.S. Sixth Fleet and Naval Striking and Support Forces NATO

U.S. NAVAL SUPPORT ACTIVITY NAPLES, Italy — Vice Adm. Thomas E. Ishee relieved Vice Adm. 509th Operations Support Squadron wins Omaha Trophy

WHITEMAN AIR FORCE BASE, Mo. — Air Force Lt. Gen. Thomas Bussiere presented the Omaha Trophy to the 509th Operations Support Squadron at Whiteman Air Force Base on August 4, 2022. The Omaha Trophy was created at the tail end of the Vietnam War in 1971 as a single award to recognize the best wing of the Strategic Air Command. It was originally given by the Strategic Air Command Consultation Committee, a group of civic leaders that advised the SAC.
