Air Force announces second and third B-21 Raider bases

BARKSDALE AIR FORCE BASE, La. — The Secretary of the Air Force has approved the second and third basing locations for the B-21 Raider, the Air Force’s newest bomber. Those bases are Whiteman Air Force Base, Missouri. and Dyess Air Force Base, Texas, in that order. AFIMSC plays critical role in fielding of B-21

JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-LACKLAND, Texas — The Air Force Installation and Mission Support Center is playing a critical role in executing the multiyear beddown of the B-21 Raider stealth bomber for the Air Force.

Directors from National Laboratories immerse in Global Strike mission

BARKSDALE AIR FORCE BASE, La. — Minot AFB and Whiteman AFB hosted senior officials representing national laboratories and academic institutions, providing them the opportunity to immerse with the mission and weapons systems of the nuclear enterprise, Oct. 17-19, 2023.

Three B-2s are on their last mission before returning to their home station. The BTF provides aircrews the ability to forward posture strategic bombers within the European theater, enabling integration with NATO Allies and partners to advance the ability for the allies to operate as a single, cohesive force.

Mission Success: Bomber Task Force 23-4 wraps up

KEFLAVIK, Iceland — Last month, more than 150 Airmen assigned to the 393rd Expeditionary Bomb Squadron and 3 B-2 Spirit stealth bombers from Whiteman Air Force Base arrived at Keflavik Air Base, Iceland to synchronize efforts with Airmen from the 501st Combat Support Wing, and integrate with NATO Allies across Europe to engage in Bomber Task Force missions.

The success of the mission is attributed to the cohesive operations between the 393rd Expeditionary Bomb Squadron, the 501st Combat Support Wing, and NATO allies during the BTF.
