U.S. Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM) bid farewell to Gen. C. Robert Kehler in a change of command ceremony at Offutt Air Force Base in Bellevue, Neb. Nov. 15. Kehler relinquished command to Adm. Cecil D. Haney, the former Commander, U.S. Pacific Fleet.

22 SOPS supports multiple launches
The 22nd Space Operations Squadron has been supporting launches since the beginning of the space program in the 1950s. The legacy of the squadron is rooted in controlling ground antennas required to command satellites for the nation's first orbiting spy program.

Maintainers' training and instinct saves B-52 aircrew
Two Airmen from the 2nd Aircraft Maintenance Squadron put out a fire on the B-52H Stratofortress, and with the assistance of three more Airmen, saved all seven aircrew members Aug. 27 on the flightline here.

New JWAC Commander Takes Helm
Navy Capt. R. Chandler Swallow became the new commander of the Joint Warfare Analysis Center (JWAC) in a change of command ceremony on Thursday, August 15, 2013, replacing Navy Capt. Gary Shoman who retired after 30 years of naval service. Swallow is the ninth commander of JWAC and the first surface warfare officer to lead the 400-person command.
