The 7th Bomb Wing’s first B-1 Embracing Agile Scheduling Team modified B-1B Lancer took its first flight September 8, 2023, from Dyess AFB marking a new era of lethality for the venerable aircraft. BEAST was designed to shorten fielding of each system, preserve aircraft availability and ensure compliance with federal government aviation directives.

Dyess B-1 Bomber CONUS to CONUS Mission Trains Interoperability with Coalition Partners

DYESS AIR FORCE BASE, Texas — The 7th Bomb Wing, 307th Bomb Wing and 53rd Wing jointly executed a 30-hour two-ship mission on Jan. 11 from Dyess Air Force Base, Texas to the Indo-Pacific and back. The two aircraft conducted a joint Large Force Exercise with fighters from the Japanese Air Self Defense Force, in a clear message showing U.S. commitment to allies and partners within the Indo-Pacific Region.

Combat Raider 19-1 keeps forces ready, lethal

Aircrew from all 8th Air Force bases flew over the Powder River Training Complex together for the first time during Combat Raider 19-1 on Oct. 16-18. They coordinated with joint tactical air controllers from the Royal Canadian Armed Forces and Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington, who helped coordinate simulated air strikes from the ground.
