Exercise Global Thunder 17 Concludes

Looking Glass: USSTRATCOM's Airborne Command Post

MINOT AIR FORCE BASE, N.D. − A U.S. Navy E6-B Mercury visited Minot Air Force Base, North Dakota, Sept. 19-21, 2016. The visit allowed members of Team Minot to tour the inside of the Airborne Command Post (ABNCP) and learn about how it supports U.S. Strategic Command’s mission.

A Canadian CF-18 fighter jet intercepts a B-52 Stratofortress from the 2nd Bomb Wing, Barksdale Air Force Base, La., over the Atlantic in support of POLAR ROAR, Aug. 1, 2016. The B-52 flew non-stop from the U.S. to the Baltic Sea and back to conduct the intercept training with NORAD-assigned Canadian fighter aircraft and NATO allies. In total, three B-52s and two B-2 Spirit bombers from all three of the U.S.’s strategic bomber bases (Barksdale AFB, La.; Minot AFB, N.D.; and Whiteman AFB, Mo.) participated in POLAR ROAR, which also included flights to the Arctic and Alaska's Aleutian Islands. Strategic Bomber Force Showcases Allied Interoperability During POLAR ROAR

OFFUTT AIR FORCE BASE, Neb. - Five bombers from all three of the United States' strategic bomber bases completed a mission yesterday designed to test the force's long-range, global-strike capability while training and integrating with key allies and partners.

International experts discuss security and stability at 2016 USSTRATCOM Deterrence Symposium

LA VISTA, Neb. - More than 650 deterrence practitioners from Department of Defense (DoD) agencies, industry, academic institutions and international organizations attended U.S. Strategic Command's (USSTRATCOM) 2016 Deterrence Symposium, July 27-28, for panels and speeches designed to promote increased collaboration and discussion on global deterrence issues.

USSTRATCOM deputy commander receives fourth star

USSTRATCOM, Canada's Upper Midwest Consul General Discuss Partnership

U.S. Strategic Command Kicks Off 2016 Strategic Leadership Fellows Program

Omaha, Neb. - Ten U.S. Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM) civilian employees were selected to participate in the 2016 USSTRATCOM Strategic Leadership Fellows Program as part of a University of Nebraska program to enhance the management skills and technical expertise of civilians as they progress to strategic supervisory roles.
