Engines hot: 110th EBS Airmen complete hot pits on B-2 Spirit during BTF

DIEGO GARCIA, British Indian Ocean Territory — U.S. Air Force Airmen assigned to the 110th Expeditionary Bomb Squadron completed a hot pit event with the B-2 Spirit stealth bomber during a Bomber Task Force mission, Aug. 21, 2024.

Can one size fit all? Edwards demonstrates new modular pylon on B-1B Lancer

EDWARDS AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. — The 412th Test Wing recently tested a new weapons pylon that could remove traditional weapon constraints. Known as the Load Adaptable Modular Pylon, the equipment recently flew attached to a B-1B Lancer test aircraft with the 419th Flight Test Squadron.

Airmen and B-1B Lancers return to Ellsworth after completing Bomber Task Force 24-6

ELLSWORTH AIR FORCE BASE, S.D. — Airmen from the 37th Expeditionary Bomb Squadron returned to Ellsworth AFB June 25, 2024, following the successful completion of BTF 24-6 at Andersen AFB, Guam. This mission, conducted with Allies and partners in the Indo-Pacific, achieved significant milestones in strengthening partnerships and advancing strategic objectives.

B-21 Raider continues flight test, production

EDWARDS AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. (AFNS) — Following its formal unveiling, Dec. 2, 2022, the B-21 Raider began flight testing here where it continues to make progress toward becoming the backbone of the U.S. Air Force bomber fleet.

Team Minot named DAF 2023 General Larry O. Spencer Award winners

ARLINGTON, Va. (AFNS) — The Department of the Air Force announced the recipients of the 2023 Gen. Larry O. Spencer Innovation Award during a ceremony at the Pentagon, May 8. Members of Team Minot from the 5th Bomb Wing and 91st Missile Wing won the team award for the second year in a row!

Strengthening our nuclear deterrence: Part 1

VANDENBERG SPACE FORCE BASE, Calif. — There’s a lot to think about when it comes to nuclear deterrence. Most people think about the vast number of Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles we have secured in silos around the country. Other’s may think about the various options we have in our bomber and submarine delivery systems. However, at Vandenberg, the 377th Test and Evaluation Group plays an important role in nuclear deterrence by continually testing our ICBM capabilities for all the world to see.
