Barksdale B-52s Participate in U.S. Central Command Exercise Eager Lion

Two B-52 Stratofortress bombers assigned to the 2nd Bomb Wing, Barksdale AFB, La., returned May 18, 2015, from a 30-plus hour, 14,000 mile nonstop mission to the U.S. Central Command (USCENTCOM) area of operations (AOR) to participate alongside Jordanian and other multinational forces in Exercise Eager Lion 2015.

Joint Space Operations Center tracks Progress' reentry into the atmosphere

U.S. Strategic Command's (USSTRATCOM) Joint Functional Component Command for Space (JFCC Space), through the Joint Space Operations Center (JSpOC), confirmed at 8:34 p.m. PDT (11:34 p.m. EDT) that the Progress M-27M cargo transport spacecraft reentered the Earth's atmosphere and over the Pacific Ocean.

U.S. Strategic Command Strategic Leadership Fellows Graduate

OFFUTT AIR FORCE BASE, Neb. - Ten U.S. Strategic Command employees completed the USSTRATCOM Strategic Leadership Fellows Program as part of a joint endeavor with the University of Nebraska. The program is designed to enhance the management skills and technical expertise of civilians as they progress to strategic supervisory roles. USSTRATCOM senior officials, civilian personnel and academic professionals recognized the graduating fellows during a ceremony at the University of Nebraska’s Peter Kiewit Institute in Omaha, May 1.

POLAR GROWL strengthens Allied interoperability, essential bomber navigation skills
